What landscape lighting does RM Lighting Solutions install?
We wrap tree trunks, light tree canopies, outline bushes and hedges, and run bed lines along walkways and planting beds using the same commercial-grade LED materials we use on rooflines. It is the part of the display that makes the whole yard read as one design instead of a lit roof floating over a dark lawn. Maintenance and takedown are included like every other install.
How do you decide what to light in the yard?
We look at the house from the street on the satellite image and in the photos you send. A roofline with nothing under it looks unfinished. One wrapped tree by the driveway, the bushes along the front walk and the porch columns usually fix that. On a bigger lot we pick the two or three features that are visible from the road and leave the rest alone.
The mockup shows the roofline and the landscape together so you can see the balance before you commit.
Why have a pro do the trees?
Wrapping a trunk evenly takes a lot of strand and a method. Canopy work on a mature tree takes a ladder and a plan. We do both every week from October through December, and we have the ladders, the cords and the timers already on the truck. Your part is picking the color.

Tree and Landscape Lighting FAQ
Can you add tree and bush lighting to a roofline package?
Yes. Tree, bush and landscape lighting is quoted as an add-on to any residential or commercial install from RM Lighting Solutions, or on its own if your roofline is already handled. The mockup shows the trees and beds lit along with the roof so you see the whole picture, not just the house.
What is the difference between wrapping a tree and lighting the canopy?
Wrapping means the trunk and main limbs get a tight spiral of lights, which reads as a glowing shape from the street. Canopy lighting drapes strands through the upper branches for a softer, fuller look on bigger trees. Smaller ornamentals get wrapped. Big oaks and maples usually get the canopy.
Do landscape lights need their own power and timer?
They run off the same timer as the roofline when the layout allows, so everything comes on together at dusk. Where a tree is far from the house we run a separate low-profile cord and timer. Either way you never go outside to turn anything on or off.
