Seasonal install
Commercial Holiday Lighting
Storefronts, offices, restaurants and commercial properties lit clean and bright, installed around your business hours with in-season service included.
What does RM Lighting Solutions do for commercial properties?
We install commercial-grade C9 LED holiday lighting on storefronts, office buildings, restaurants, car lots, churches and commercial properties across Topeka, Lawrence, Emporia and the Kansas City metro. The install includes the design, custom-cut strands, professional clips, a timer, in-season maintenance and takedown. Special event lighting and custom lighting designs are quoted the same way.
Our goal is a complete, hassle-free lighting experience for both residential and commercial customers. For a business that means you make one call, the building is lit on the date you picked, and if anything goes out it is fixed within 24 hours.
Why hire a roofer for a commercial install?
Commercial roofs are flat, membrane, metal or parapet, and most seasonal crews have never worked on one. Ray Mendoza has roofed professionally for over nine years and has handled more than $10 million in exterior work. He knows how to move on a membrane roof without punching it, how to clip to a metal edge, and how to keep cords off a parapet cap where they would chafe.
That is the difference between a display that looks good from the parking lot and one that also leaves your roof warranty intact.
How does a commercial install work?
Send the address and what you want lit, usually the roofline and the main entry. We measure from satellite imagery, build a proposal with a mockup of your building, and send it back, normally within a couple of hours. Pick the option you want, pay the $100 deposit, and we schedule the install around your business hours.
On install day the crew brings everything, sets the timer so the lights come on at dusk, and leaves the property clean. After the holidays we take it down on a scheduled date. On the seasonal lease the materials are labeled, stored and ready for next year without you touching a box.
What do commercial customers usually have lit?
The roofline is the standard. Beyond that, entry canopies, columns, parapet lines, a wrapped tree or two out front, garland on the entrance, and wreaths on the doors. Multicolor reads well on a long flat roofline. Warm white reads well on brick and glass. The mockup shows you both before you decide.

Common Questions
Commercial Holiday Lighting FAQ
Can RM Lighting Solutions install commercial holiday lights outside business hours?
Yes. Commercial installs are scheduled around your hours so customers and staff are never working around ladders. Early morning, evening and Sunday installs are all normal for us. The crew shows up, lights the roofline and entry, sets the timer and is gone before you open.
What does commercial holiday lighting cost?
Commercial jobs start at $500 and are quoted per property from satellite measurements of the roofline and entry. The proposal shows a mockup of your building with the layout on it. A $100 deposit holds the install date and bank transfer or check covers the balance.
Who fixes a commercial display if a section goes dark?
RM Lighting Solutions does, within 24 hours of your call. Maintenance is part of every commercial install for the whole season, so a dead strand on a storefront gets handled the next day without a service charge. A dark storefront in December is a bad look and we treat it that way.
Do you do commercial lighting for events, not just the holidays?
Yes. Special event lighting for a grand opening, a seasonal market or a company party uses the same commercial-grade materials and the same crew. Tell us the date and what you want lit and we quote it the same way, with a mockup and a fixed price.
